The non-governmental organization Samsaara was registered in March, 2008 in Estonia by a group of five students and young professionals.

The idea behind Samsaara is to evolve into a network of ambitious individuals and relevant organizations from all around the world that help to bring together both the ideas and participants for the projects and the financial resources and knowledge for implementing these projects.

Members of the Samsaara network will participate in diverse quests to discover the ground ideas behind what it takes to achieve and maintain a long term intra- and intergenerational sustainability. By participating in various voluntary projects the members will get to experience the challenges and benefits associated with sustainability. Unique combinations of members' origins (home community) and destinations (voluntary project) synthesized through the Samsaara knowledge network will help to establish grounds for the development and application of new ideas leading towards achieving a more sustainable future.
